This is the first of two 'hedging material' i had the pleasure of seeing recently. The sky flower or duranta erecta has pretty little lavender flowers. Some of the petals have a deep line in the center. Take a close look if you pass by one, the colours are very interesting.

The duranta is also a favourite among bonsai enthusiasts. I've seen some bonsai durantas and they look spectacular!
