Have you noticed how long the pods of the gulmohar are?


















Or how spiky those of the african tulip tree are?
what about these? look familiar? it's the jacaranda mimosifolia

The seed pods of gulmohar look similar to the honey locust of North America (Gleditsia triacanthos).

Both are in family Fabaceae (legumes).

Spiky - yes, we have one just outside our home too.
