A world environment day treat - White Trumpet Tree in full bloom

I was going back home after visiting the Theosophical Society yesterday, when i was greeted by a vision in pale pink - The White trumpet tree or Tabebuia Roseo-alba in full bloom - i could see hardly any leaves, only flowers all over the branches and on the ground below. I stood by the roadside for a while taking in the beauty of this tree, much to the amusement of the busy passers-by. The pink is so pale that from a distance it looks like the tree is covered in snow. Oh what a wonderful sight it was.

The tree is native to the cerrado region in Brazil. It is also called the White Ipe.

The ground below was strewn with the trumpet like flowers.
