Crocus

Lately i seem to be posting a lot on the flowers in our garden and in keeping with the theme here is a picture from last year of the pretty little pink crocus! We also have wild yellow crocus somewhere in our garden, im pretty sure. I hope it blooms soon.
Crocus is native to central and southern europe, western china, the middle east and north africa.
Here is something of interest in light of the current regressional economic condition:
"The financial community sometimes refers to companies or economic sectors that rise early after an economic downturn as "Crocuses" in reference to the flower's ability to thrive in the late winter or early spring"

I didn't know you could get a crocus to bloom in chennai's heat. Amazing!
