Lemon tree

The lemon tree, barely visible amidst the front garden overrun with the singonium, weeds and the king palms.

Can you count all ten lemons (or more) ?

I've never noticed flowers on the lemon tree all these years. This time though i spotted one -- it is the kind that faces the ground, but i managed to crawl under and take a picture.

Have you tried crushing the leaves and smelling your fingers after? Ah the wonderful smell of a lemon..

Where it all begins..

I've never noticed the flowers of Lemon. I'll keep my eyes open next time I see a lemon tree.

Recently I went for a Tree walk organized by Nizhal. And they brought to my notice the tiny flowers that bloom on the many common trees that I've never noticed before. I'm beginning to be more aware of my surroundings.

The flowers can be missed. But as you say, the fragrance is lovely.

I plucked 2 lemons from our garden this morning, and neatly slipped them inside my handbag. I like the lemony aroma. :)
